黃藿Hwo Hwang
M.Phil in Educational Studies, University of Glasgow, UK (1988). And Ph. D in Philosophy, Fu Jen Catholic University (1986). He used to be a full time professor in the Center of General Education, Professor (joint appointment) in the Center for Teacher Education, Professor (joint appointment) in the Graduate School of Law and Government, and Director of the Center of General Education at National Central University. After his retirement from NCU (2013), he became full-time professor of the Department of Philosophy at the Chinese Culture University. He was also Director of the Center of Common Subjects and General Education, and is now the Dean of College of Liberal Arts, Chinese Culture University.
Professor Hwang has very broad interest in the research areas of Aristotle's ethics, existential philosophy, philosophy of education, and the theory and practice of general education. His research integrates the different historical views of Eastern and Western philosophy, and thus has a very important impact on the localization of philosophy.
