楊國樞 Kuo-Shu Yang

楊國樞（1932－2018），山東膠縣人，中學未畢業即因國共內戰，於民國三十六年隨父母移居台灣。楊國樞教授係中央研究院院士，曾任中研院副院長，曾任《大學》雜誌總編輯，號召學者成立澄社並擔任首屆社長，他是華人本土心理學之父，畢生關注人格心理學與社會心理學的研究，他認為華人心理學研究的盲點在於全盤套用西方心理學的理論與方法，積極倡導貼進華人社會文化特徵的本土心理學。著有《臺灣的社會問題》、《中國人的心理與行為：理念與方法篇》、《華人心理的本土化研究》與《華人本土心理學與華人本土契合性》等書。

Kuo-Shu Yang (1932-2018), born in Jiaoxian County, Shandong, did not complete his secondary education due to the Chinese Civil War. In 1947, he moved to Taiwan with his parents. Professor Yang was an Academician of the Academia Sinica and had served as the Vice President of the Academia Sinica. He was also the chief editor of the journal "The Intellectual" and called for scholars to establish the "Taipei Society," serving as its first president. He is considered the father of indigenous Chinese psychology, devoting his life to the study of personality psychology and social psychology. He believed that the blind spot in Chinese psychological research lay in the uncritical application of Western psychological theories and methods. He actively advocated for the development of indigenous psychology that resonates with the unique social and cultural characteristics of the Chinese society. He authored works such as "Social Issues in Taiwan," "Chinese Psychology and Behavior: Concepts and Methods," "Localization of Chinese Psychological Research," and "Alignment of Indigenous Chinese Psychology with the Chinese Context."

胡佛 Fu Hu

胡佛（1932－2018），浙江杭州人，胡佛教授係中央研究院院士，擔任國立臺灣大學政治學系教授，榮任國立臺灣大學首位「連震東法政講座」教授。他對台灣政治改革與民主轉型曾發揮極為關鍵的作用，曾任《思與言》雜誌的主要發起人，與楊國樞、張忠棟、韋政通與何懷碩等學者創辦澄社，秉持「論政而不參政」的態度關懷國事。他繼承並闡發孫中山先生的治國理念與革命學說，後來號召資深學者成立「中流文教基金會」，積極展開兩岸人文與社會科學領域頂尖學者的對話，共同探索中國人在二十一世紀的地位，認識中華文明對促進人類可持續性發展的時代新意。

Fu Hu (1932-2018), a native of Hangzhou, Zhejiang, was an Academician of the Academia Sinica. He served as a professor in the Department of Political Science at National Taiwan University and was honored as the inaugural Chair Professor of "Lien Chen-tung Lecture" at National Taiwan University. He played a pivotal role in Taiwan's political reform and democratic transition. He was a key initiator of the "Thought and Words" magazine and, along with scholars such as Kuo-Shu Yang,  Zhong-Dong Zhang, Jheng-Tong Wei, and Huai-Shuo He, co-founded the "Taipei Society," maintaining an attitude of "discussing politics without participating in politics" while caring about national affairs.

He inherited and elaborated on Sun Yat-sen's governance principles and revolutionary theories. Later, he rallied senior scholars to establish the "Middle Stream Culture and Education Foundation." He actively initiated dialogues among top scholars in the fields of humanities and social sciences across the Taiwan Strait, jointly exploring the position of the Chinese people in the 21st century and understanding the new significance of Chinese civilization in promoting sustainable development for humanity in the modern era.

韋政通 Jheng-Tong Wei

韋政通（1927－2018），江蘇鎮江人，韋政通教授係自學有成的思想家，曾任聯合報系《中國論壇半月刊》編輯委員會召集人，他在臺灣推出長達百萬字的《中國思想史》，震撼海峽兩岸哲學界，曾任中國文化大學教授，後受聘擔任廣州中山大學中文系講座教授與杭州師範大學哲學系特聘教授，畢生出版過三十多種哲學、思想與文化的學術專著，影響無數青年學子，對海峽兩岸的學術思想貢獻卓著。晚年獲聘為國立宜蘭大學生命教育研究室榮譽顧問，並頒發「政通學者」的榮譽給其九名學生，這些學生繼續在傳播著自由開放的儒家思想。

Jheng-Tong Wei (1927-2018), born in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu, was a self-taught thinker, who achieved great success. Professor Wei served as the convener of the editorial committee for the United Daily News's "China Forum Biweekly." His extensive work, "History of Chinese Thought," comprising millions of words, made a significant impact on the philosophical circles across both sides of the Taiwan Strait. He was a professor at Chinese Culture University and later was appointed as a chair professor in the Department of Chinese at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou and a distinguished professor in the Department of Philosophy at Hangzhou Normal University.

　　Throughout his life, he published over thirty academic works on philosophy, thought, and culture, influencing countless young students and making outstanding contributions to academic thought on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. In his later years, he was appointed as an honorary advisor to the Life Education Research Office at National Ilan University, where he awarded the title of "Jheng-Tong Scholar" to nine of his students. These students continue to propagate a liberal and open interpretation of Confucian thought.

張春興 Chun-Hsing Chang

張春興（1927－2014），山東昌樂人，民國三十八年來台，畢業於國立台灣師範大學教育系，美國夏威夷大學教育碩士，俄勒岡大學哲學博士，張春興教授曾任台師大教育心理學系教授兼系主任、台師大終身職名譽教授及博士生導師、美國普渡大學客座教授，作育英才無數，深耕兩岸學術文化，於北京師範大學、南京師範大學、山東師範大學、山西大學、吉林大學擔任客座教授，一生勤奮講學且著作等身，1995年獲Who’s Who 世界社會科學名人獎，2000年獲美國新世紀學術名人獎，2001年獲美國名人學院心理學炬光獎，2003年獲香港世界文化優秀論文獎。主要出版書籍包括《張氏心理學辭典》等三十八種。

Chun-Hsing Chang(1927-2014), was born in Changle, Shandong, came to Taiwan in 1949. He graduated from the Department of Education at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), earned a Master's degree in Education from the University of Hawaii, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Oregon. Professor Chang served as a professor and head of the Department of Educational Psychology at NTNU, an honorary lifetime professor and doctoral advisor at NTNU, and a visiting professor at Purdue University in the United States. He nurtured countless talented individuals and made significant contributions to academic and cultural exchange across the Taiwan Strait. He also served as a visiting professor at Beijing Normal University, Nanjing Normal University, Shandong Normal University, Shanxi University, and Jilin University. Throughout his life, he was dedicated to teaching and prolific in his writing. In 1995, he received the Who's Who in the World Social Sciences Award, the American New Century Academic Achievement Award in 2000, the American Academy of Psychology Torch Award in 2001, and the Hong Kong World Culture Outstanding Paper Award in 2003. His major publications include thirty-eight works, among them the "Chang's Dictionary of Psychology."

王鎮華 Cheng-Hua Wong

王鎮華（1946—2020），江蘇武進人，鎮江出生，童年住蘇州，台灣長大。王鎮華教授在國立成功大學建築研究所畢業後，早年在大學任教十三年，後來毅然放棄大學教職，自己獨立創辦德簡書院並擔任山長，著重中道今來的體證，主張「主/體/位/心/台/文」六大區塊的《易經》體系，誓做一個謀道不謀食的君子，傳承中華文化的天命。著有《黃河性情長江行》、《百年中國的反省》、《兩岸文化的關懷》、《書院教育與建築》、《覺者之路》、《生活裡的智慧》與《道不遠人，德在人心》等書三十餘種。

Zhen-Hua Wang (1946—2020) was a native of Wujin, Jiangsu Province. He was born in Zhenjiang, spent his childhood in Suzhou, and grew up in Taiwan. After graduating from the Institute of Architecture at National Cheng Kung University, Professor Wang Zhenhua taught at the university for thirteen years. Later, he resolutely left his teaching position to independently establish the Dirjian Academy, where he served as the head. He focused on integrating traditional and modern wisdom, adhering to the spirit of the "I Ching" with its six key elements. He aspired to be a gentleman who seeks the Way rather than material gain, dedicating himself to the mission of preserving Chinese culture. His publications include over thirty books such as "The Character of the Yellow River and the Journey of the Yangtze River," "Reflections on a Century of China," "Concerns about Cross-Strait Culture," "Academy Education and Architecture," "The Path of the Awakened," "Wisdom in Life," and "The Way is Not Far, Virtue Lies in the Heart."

余德慧 Der-Huey Yee

余德慧（1951－2012），台灣屏東人。余德慧教授畢業於國立臺灣大學臨床心理學博士，後至美國加州柏克萊大學進行博士後研究，任教於國立台灣大學心理研究所、國立東華大學族群關係與文化研究所與慈濟大學宗教與文化研究所，曾任國立東華大學諮商與臨床心理學系的創系主任。余德慧教授跟楊國樞教授在臺大開設台灣第一門生死學課程，曾長期擔任《張老師月刊》總編輯，期間開創新穎的本土心理學研究領域，關注詮釋現象心理學、生死學、臨床諮商與宗教現象學等前瞻性議題，著有《生命史學》、《生死學十四講》、《生死無盡》、《臺灣巫宗教的心靈療遇》、《臨終心理與陪伴研究》、與《生命轉化的技藝學》等書。

Der-Huey Yee(1951–2012) was a native of Pingtung, Taiwan. Professor Yee graduated with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from National Taiwan University and later conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley. He taught at the Graduate Institute of Psychology at National Taiwan University, the Institute of Ethnic Relations and Cultures at National Dong Hwa University, and the Institute of Religion and Culture at Tzu Chi University. He also served as the founding chair of the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at National Dong Hwa University.

　　Professor Yee, along with Professor Kuo-Shu Yang, offered Taiwan's first course on thanatology at National Taiwan University. He was the long-term editor-in-chief of "Teacher Zhang Monthly," during which he pioneered innovative fields in indigenous psychology research. He focused on forward-looking topics such as interpretative phenomenological psychology, thanatology, clinical counseling, and the phenomenology of religion. His publications include "The Study of Life History," "Fourteen Lectures on Thanatology," "The Endless Cycle of Life and Death," "Spiritual Healing in Taiwanese Shamanistic Religion," "Studies on End-of-Life Psychology and Companionship," and "The Art of Life Transformation."
